Good morning, Mets fans.
Tonight’s game will have two pitchers making their MLB debuts. Drew Gagnon (0-0,0.00 ERA) will face off against Enyel De Los Santos (0-0, 0.00 ERA). The game can be viewed on SNY and 710WOR at 7.10 p.m.
Yesterday, the Mets actually won a game! I know, what a shocker! In the first game of the doubleheader, Wilmer Flores‘ walkoff dinger in the 10th inning moved him atop the Mets leaderboards for all-time Met walk offs, but most importantly, gave the Mets a 4-3 victory over the Phillies.
The nightcap featured a matchup between the All-Star Aaron Nola and Corey Oswalt. Oswalt pitched well for five innings, but a three-run double off the bat of Nola ruined both his no-no and his stat-line. The Mets were unable to scratch out any offense with Nola retiring 18 consecutive batters at one point.
