New York Mets infielder Wilmer Flores made his second rehab appearance for the St. Lucie Mets on Wednesday night as he works his way back from lower back soreness.

Flores, 26, went 2-for-3 including a runs-scoring single in the sixth inning for the Mets only run of the game in their 6-1 loss. The utility infielder played seven innings defensively at first base.

On Tuesday night, Flores went 1-for-3 with double while playing five innings at third base.

Flores is hitting .248/.320/.398 with eight double, three homers and 13 RBI this season for the Mets in 46 games.

The Mets hope Flores will return to the team at some point during the current road trip which starts a four-game series in Arizona against the Diamondbacks on Thursday night.
