Tonight the Mets will look to win their 12th game of the season, their tenth in a row, and take the first series of the homestand against the Brewers. Last night the Mets continued their trend of scoring after the other team scores. After taking an early 2-0 lead, the Brewers tied the game at 2-2 on one swing. Frazier immediately responded with his second homer of the night and the Mets would build a lead that would be chipped at, but never taken again for the night.

On the season so far, he has pitched ten innings in two games allowing four runs along with ten hits and two walks while striking out seven batters posting a 3.60 ERA, 3.83 FIP, 1.200 WHIP and 106 ERA+. Last year, Harvey’s start against the Brewers was not good as he allowed five runs from seven hits and five walks in five innings while striking out six. The Brewers have the following numbers against Harvey:

  • Villar 1-5, BB
  • Bandy 1-3, 2B

The Mets bats draw Chase Anderson making his fourth start of the season after a breakout 2017 campaign. Between Arizona and Milwaukee, Anderson never had an ERA below 4.01 for three seasons. Last year, he was 12-4 over 141.1 innings with a 2.74 ERA, 3.58 FIP, 1.090 WHIP and 160 ERA+. So far this year he is 0-1 over 16.0 innings with a 3.38 ERA, 5.96 FIP, 1.125 WHIP and 66 ERA+. He faced the Mets once last year and it was a very good start where he held the Mets scoreless over seven innings along with only three hits and a walk while striking out seven in a game the Brewers eventually won 2-1. • Lagares 3-5, HR
  • Cespedes 1-2, 2B

Game Notes

New York has won the first four series of the year for the second time in team history, with 2006 being the first time they did so.

Adrian Gonzalez has at least one RBI in four straight games (eight in total).

Since returning from the DL on April 5, Michael Conforto is batting .286 (6-21) with a .444 on-base percentage,

The Mets 11-1 start after 12 games is the best in franchise history. The last team to start 11-1 was the 2013 Braves. New York’s .917 (11-1) winning percentage is the best in the majors.

Matt Harvey’s next strikeout will be the 600th of his career. With his next punchout, he will become the 15th Mets pitcher, and eighth Mets righthander, to amass 600 strikeouts. Harvey has whiffed 599 batters through his 103 career games with the Mets.

Asdrubal Cabrera has a hit in 11 straight games (17-45, .378) after going 0-4 on Opening Day.
