Mets Adjust Rotation Schedule Following Rain Out

The New York Mets made an adjustment to the rotation schedule this week after getting rained out today against the Atlanta Braves.

The team will send Zack Wheeler to the mound on Tuesday to face the St. Louis Cardinals. He was initially set to pitch today, but will now start on Tuesday with six days of rest in between his two starts.

Meanwhile, Steven Matz will be pushed back to Wednesday and start with six days of rest as well while Noah Syndergaard will start the series finale against the Cardinals on five days of rest.

From there, the Mets will have Jacob deGrom start the first game of a three-game series with the San Diego Padres while Jason Vargas is expected to be activated from the disabled list to start next Saturday.
