MLB.com says the Rangers signed Erik Goeddel. Erik showed some signs of life as a Met but he never quite figured it out. Best of luck to the Commish!

Hansel Robles is training with none other than Pedro Martinez. Obviously, he’s not turning into Pedro overnight but you could do a lot worse in terms of a coach.

Derek Jeter hosted a town hall session in Miami yesterday for Marlins fans. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald has some of the full quotes from Jeter’s presser. Some of these made for good comedy.

My favorites was a fan crying to Jeter and another who was complaining about ushers at Marlins park. The fan said they emailed Jeter but Jeter responded that the fan did not have his email.

This is a town hall straight out of Parks and Recreation. Jeter’s point was he that he would be tearing down the Marlins because they have not won in a while.

The Braves officially released Adrian Gonzalez hence the Mets reaching out to him.
