Morning Briefing: GM Meetings Underway

None of the three New York football teams did anything to take our minds off the offseason. Just 136 days until Opening Day!

The major news broke last night when Joel Sherman of the New York Post reported that Alex Anthopolous will be the next general manager of the Atlanta Braves. Anthopolous was previously the GM of the Toronto Blue Jays. He made several big trades such as acquiring Troy Tulowitzki and David Price as well as sending Noah Syndergaard and Travis d’Arnaud to the Mets in exchange for R.A. Dickey.

The Yankees will be suspending their managerial search until the GM Meetings are over, with interviews slated to pick back up on Thursday.
