Tonight, Game 3 of the World Series will go down in Houston. Yu Darvish will take on Lance McCullers Jr. in a battle of spin rates.

On a programming note, all of the remaining World Series games will start at 8:20 p.m. in EST.

The big news today was the Yankees announced Joe Girardi will not return as Yankees manager. Girardi said the decision came from the Yankees, not mutual.

The Cubs hired Chili Davis and Brian Butterfield as hitting coach and third base coach respectively. The big fish they got was Jim Hickey to be their pitching coach and reunite with Joe Maddon.

The Indians replaced Mickey Callaway with Carl Willis and the Cardinals hired Mike Maddux.

The Mets still have options in Indians’ coaches with Ruben Niebla and Jason Bere as well as Brian Bannister to consider for the job.

They’ve also shown interest in veteran pitching coach Dave Eiland.
