Morning Briefing: Glimpses of Hope for Mets Pitching

Tonight, the Mets will take on the Cincinnati Reds at 7:10 p.m. Seth Lugo will take on St. Johns alumni, Amir Garrett.

Last night, the Mets won by a score of 7-2 thanks to strong pitching and the bat of Brandon Nimmo. Matt Harvey rebounded well from his last start and looked more composed as the game went along. Brandon Nimmo’s OBP is now up to .416 on the season. His wRC+ skyrocketed to 130 after two homers in the win.

Jeurys Familia has his best outing since returning from injury with two scoreless innings.
