Royals Agree To Two-Year Deal With Brandon Moss

Jim Bowden of ESPN reports that the Kansas City Royals and have agreed to a two-year, $12 million dollar contract with free agent first baseman/outfielder Brandon Moss. The deal is pending a physical.

Moss, 33, belted 28 home runs with 67 RBIs in 464 plate appearances for the St. Louis Cardinals last season, however after a dreadful second half, he ended the year with a .225/.300/.484 batting line. Still, his .784 OPS was the highest since his 2013 season.

It’s another slugger off the market, but that still leaves Mike Napoli, Chris Carter and Mark Reynolds ready, willing and able.
