Herrera has three extra base hits in two games since returning from a hamstring injury. He has dealt with multiple injuries this year. Reynolds has played two games at short over Gavin Cecchini. Conforto’s home run was to the opposite field, which is a step in the right direction. His other two hits were ground balls to Center Field and Right Field.

Wheeler has thrown two scoreless innings since being promoted to Triple-A.

Herron bounces back after allowing eight earned runs in his first minor league outing since 2014. Henderson pitched his first scoreless inning for the BMets.

Almonte tossed a hard-luck complete game loss.

Brooklyn Cyclones had the day off. Cespedes still hasn’t hit an extra base hit, the 18-year old speedy outfielder was signed in 2013 for $725,000. Ramirez struggled in extended spring training, and has continued to struggle.

Viall is working towards starting with his first three-inning outing after two in the previous and one before that. The flamethrowing Stanford pitcher has a walk and seven K’s in six innings. Uceta has bounced back from his first two outings, where he allowed 10 earned runs in 9.1 innings.
