Las Vegas (40-33) 8, Reno 6 Box Score

The 51s got out to an early lead scoring four in the second inning and three in the third before the bullpen made it interesting with six runs allowed in the seventh and eighth innings combined. They now have a season high six-game winning streak.

Nimmo is now batting .400/.473/.638 in 80 June at bats. Taijeron is second in the minors with his 29 doubles.

  • Gabriel Ynoa RHP: 6.2 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 8 K, Win (9-2, 3.40)
  • Chasen Bradford RHP: Struck out only batter faced to strand runner (3.71)
  • Seth Lugo RHP: IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 2 K (6.72)
  • Josh Smoker LHP: IP, H, K, Save (1st save, 5.57)

Eight strikeouts is the most Ynoa’s had in game since May 1st of 2015 when he struck out the same amount.

Roster Note – The Mets brought back lefty starter Darin Gorski to the organization and he will get the start tonight for the 51s who’s rotation has been ravished by MLB call ups. He was pitching for the Somerset Patriots in Indy ball.

Altoona 9, Binghamton (28-42) 6 Box Score

Amed Rosario didn’t make it to the game in time to start but he hit a pinch hit double in the ninth inning and would come around to score. He was promoted from St. Lucie earlier in the day and should provide an offensive boost for a team that has really struggled to score runs.

Gibson was hitless in his last three starts and should see his playing time diminish significantly with Rosario aboard.

Palm Beach 3, St. Lucie (35-33) 2 Box Score

Guillorme is starting to come around with the bat and now gets to play his natural position.

Great outing by the former 2nd round pick who needed only 91 pitches (63 strikes) to go a complete game.

Roster Note – South Atlantic League all-stars Vinny Siena and P.J. Conlon were added to the roster before the game.

Augusta 6, Columbia (36-35) 3 Box Score

Another night when the Fireflies couldn’t cash in on their offensive opportunities, they went 2 for 10 with runners in scoring position.

Everyone in the Fireflies lineup reached base besides Jeffrey Diehl.

Connecticut 3, Brooklyn (2-5) 2 Box Score

Starter Harol Gonzalez lost his no-hitter with one in the seventh inning.

Cyclones out hit the Tigers 8-2 but left eight runners on base.

  • Harol Gonzalez RHP: 6.2 IP, H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 5 K, 2 WP, Loss (0-1, 3.09)
  • Taylor Henry LHP: 1.1 IP, H, 0 ER, 2 K, two inherited runners scored (0.00)

Elizabethton 4, Kingsport 3 F/Rain shortened Box Score

It was the season opener for the Mets who wasted a dominating first professional start by 2015 5th rounder Thomas Szapucki.

The Mets were walked nine times but went 2 for 11 with runners in scoring position.

DSL Mets1 (7-9) 5, DSL Pirates 3 Box Score

DSL Mets2 (7-10) 8, DSL Astros 4 Box Score

Enmanuel De Oleo had only one at bat on the day but made it count with a grand slam in a seven run ninth inning for the Mets.

The 17-year shortstop has reached base safely in 15 of his first 16 professional games.
