The Baltimore Orioles have acquired outfielder Gerardo Parra from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for RHP Zach Davies according to Tom Haudricourt of the Journal Sentinel. No official announcement yet as deal is pending physicals.
Parra, who was once considered by many reports to be a top target for the New York Mets, is hitting a career best .328 with a .886 OPS, 24 doubles, nine home runs, and 53 runs scored this season.
However there was no chance that the 28-year old Parra would become a Met after the bridge-burning festivities with Milwaukee in the last 48 hours.
Nice job by the Brewers here who end up walking away with the number three ranked prospect in the Orioles system.
