On September 29, the last game of the Mets’ 2013 season, Mike Piazza – the greatest home run-hitting catcher of all-time – will be inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame.

Fan Appreciation Day at Citi Field will be the place to be as Piazza becomes the 27th member of the Mets Hall of Fame.

The Mets Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place prior to the 1:10 p.m. game vs. the Milwaukee Brewers.

In honor of Mike Piazza, and as our way of saying thanks to our readers, we will be giving away two pairs of tickets to go see Mike Piazza get his long awaited honor.

We’ll also be giving away 10 of our custom MMO “Retire 31” T-Shirts as consolation prize to those of you missed out on the tickets. We’ve sold over 100 of these T-Shirts for $19.99!

*** Unlike some of our other giveaways, this contest will end tomorrow as we want to allow enough time to send the tickets to the lucky winner.

Okay, here are the questions… Good Luck!

1. Mike Piazza became baseball’s all-time home run leader for catchers in 2004 when he passed Carlton Fisk, who had hit 351 HR as a catcher. Who held the Mets’ all-time record for home runs by a catcher before Piazza passed him in 2001?

2. Mike Piazza hit 427 HR in his storied career, launching them off 281 different pitchers. The most he hit off any pitcher was six, which he accomplished against three pitchers. One of the three pitchers was Jason Schmidt (who, coincidentally, was the first pitcher Piazza took deep as a Met on June 1, 1998). The other two pitchers eventually became Piazza’s teammates on the Mets. Who are they?

3. Mike Piazza holds the Mets club record for most consecutive games with an RBI. Piazza drove in at least one run in 15 consecutive games to set the record. How many total RBI did Piazza have during the streak?

Send your responses to and include your T-Shirt size and shipping address.

Good Luck and Thanks for making Metsmerized the #1 Mets Fan Site on the web!
