Last Night’s Met Game Was Epic In More Ways Than One

Last night was some of the best fun I’ve had all season watching a Mets game. The best part of it for me, in addition to the  drama of the marathon itself, was connecting with the many Met fans who take to twitter for every game. It’s a great little world within a world of amazin’ Mets fans.

Hundreds, if not thousands of us, stuck it out and while the game went on and on until the wee hours of the morning, there were some sideshows going on that helped all of us last the night until 3:42 AM when the game ended.

We had some tweeps who were starving and posting pictures of some of the earth’s best diner fare ranging from juicy double bacon cheeseburgers & fries to mile high stacks of pancakes drenched in syrup and butter, and everything inbetween.

Then somebody started the hashtag #WhenThisGameStarted….

There were hundreds of hilarious tweets, each one more funnier than the next one…

Then all of a sudden there was a strange but familiar smell rising up to the pressbox…

Suddenly, the birds came…

When it was all over, it was time for breakfast…

I skipped the coffee, helped Daniel with the recap, and then slep for two whole hours before I woke up and thought, “I think the Mets won last night, right?”
