According to Adam Rubin of ESPN NewYork, third base prospect Shawn Bowman, who had been designated for assignment, has been claimed off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays. Bowman had a solid season after coming back from injuries last season, batting .294 with nine homers and 44 RBI in 347 at-bats with Double-A Binghamton.
