Mets Have Trade Bait
Omar Minaya became the General Manager at the end of the 2004 season. Since then the Mets have mostly been quiet when it comes to the trade deadline. Bringing Back Ty Wigginton and Adding Kevin Millwood
According to Dan Martin of the New York Post, righthander Kevin Millwood and super utility man Ty Wigginton are open to playing for the Mets if the Orioles become sellers between now and the trade deadline. According to Joel Sherman of the NY Post, the Mets and Brewers have discussed a deal that could send John Maine to Milwaukee in exchange for outfielder Corey Hart, and possibly another deal with the Texas Rangers for Kevin Millwood..
