Vindicated, Cooperstown, Car Salesmen and 61
Mark McGwire’s admission to steroid and PED use on Monday, has brought some hotly contested issues to the forefront. Some of these debates may never be settled, while others will be decided over time. I have my own opinions on all these issues. Jose Canseco – Mark McGwire was the lead character in the tell-all blockbuster that shockingly revealed the widespread and rampant use of steroids and PED’s in Major League Baseball. Initially, Canseco was labeled [...]

2010 Fantasy Match-Up: David Wright vs. Carl Crawford
There are several interesting player comparisons we can look at in the first few rounds of 2010 fantasy drafts. This season seems more muddled then normal, with very few clear-cut selections for fantasy owners to make due to injuries or epic struggles in 2009. One of the interesting debates right now comes in the second round, with David Wright (ADP 14.40) currently going a selection before Carl Crawford (ADP 15.17), on average. Given the type [...]

Mets And Pineiro Discussing Two Year $15 Million Contract
According to Ed Price of AOL Fanhouse, the Mets are having in-depth talks with right hander Joel Pineiro about a contract that is worth around 2 years and $15 million. Pineiro reportedly received a much similar offer from the Washington Nationals earlier this off-season, but he may be leaning toward signing with a contender like the Mets. Last year the 31 year old right hander was 15-12 with an ERA of 3.49 in 32 starts. [...]

Mets Need To Pass On Delgado
This past week Carlos Delgado played baseball for the first time in months in Puerto Rico. The Mets as we know are down on that beautful Island right now scouting him, deciding whether or not to offer him a contract for the 2010 season. Reports coming out of Puerto Rico is Delgado doesn’t move well. It seems that hip is still a problem and that is exactly why the Mets need to avoid bringing Carlos [...]

Mark McGwire Admits To Using Steroids
According to Ronald Blum of the Associated Press, Mark McGwire finally came clean, admitting he used steroids when he broke baseball’s home run record in 1998. McGwire said in a statement sent to The Associated Press on Monday that he used steroids on and off for nearly a decade. During a 20-minute telephone interview shortly afterward, his voice repeatedly cracked. “It’s very emotional, it’s telling family members, friends and coaches, you know, it’s former teammates to [...]

Magic Mets Moments: Mano A Mano
Throughout history, the greatest conflicts are the ones which pit man against his fellow man. Moses vs. Pharaoh; Alexander Hamilton vs. Aaron Burr; Darth Vader vs. Luke Skywalker. However, not all conflicts must end in death. On that note, there is nothing more exciting than a showdown between a pitcher and batter in an important and critical moment of a baseball game. The Mets have had some incredibly exciting and hair raising moments. Below is [...]

Lets Not Make The Mistake Of Acting On Emotion With Endy Chavez
According to Larry Stone of the Seattle Times, former Mets outfielder Endy Chavez is willing to sign a minor league contract as he continues his rehab from surgery for a torn MCL and ACL in his knee. In March he will hold a showcase for interested teams, and apparently many are interested.
