Metsmerized Hall of Fame

After eight amazing years of covering the New York Mets, we believed it was time for MMO to create our own Metsmerized Hall of Fame.

In 1936, when Major League Baseball opened the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York, they enshrined five founding members; Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson, Babe Ruth and Honus Wagner.

Following in that tradition, we too selected five founding members for our Metsmerized Hall of Fame. That special assignment fell to longtime MMO writer, Rob (Tie Dyed) Silverman. It’s our honor to present those players to you.

 

George Thomas Seaver, RHP

The next player to be enshrined in the Metsmerized Hall of Fame will come from you our readers. You will select one honoree from a list of five eligible players. Unlike the Hall of Fame at Cooperstown, we are going to keep ours limited only to players that have played for the Mets.

We will unveil our 2013 Hall of Fame Ballot on February 10th and voting will continue until March 15th. On March 20th, we will announce your choice for the 2013 Metsmerized Hall of Fame!
