The veteran Inciarte was making his Mets organization debut after signing a minor league deal with the team recently. The power-hitting Vientos has a .998 OPS since the start of May. It was the first start for Vientos at first base in June.

Former Mets pitchers Logan Verrett and Tyler Clippard combined to throw 7 2/3 innings of one-run ball against Syracuse.

Szapucki has a 4.00 ERA in four Triple-A starts following his disastrous one at the big league level vs the Giants last month. Nogosek has allowed only three runs all season between Triple-A and the majors.

McCann is 4-for-17 with two doubles and nine strikeouts to begin his rehab assignment with Binghamton. Álvarez is on another planet right now, the 20-year-old now has 12 home runs and 25 RBIs in his last 22 games.

McIlwain, a former college QB, was off to a great start for Brooklyn before his recent promotion to Double-A.

The most important number for Scherzer was the 65 pitches thrown, and after the game he certainly sounded like he would be upset if his next start wasn’t in the majors.

The Brooklyn Cyclones scored two runs in the eighth inning and two more in the ninth including a walk-off sac fly by Matt Rudick.

De Los Santos is third in all of the minor leagues with his 38 stolen bases, but he has also struck out 78 times in 54 games.

The 2021 third rounder has 34 strikeouts in his last 28 2/3 innings.

Perozo hit a grand slam in the fifth inning for all of the Mets runs, the catcher had been struggling all season including his time with the St. Lucie Mets.

The 18-year-old Rodriguez has been the Mets best hitter to start the season, he’s been their leadoff hitter and starting center fielder. He has four extra base hits, three stolen bases, and only four strikeouts in 10 games.

Yeral Martinez hit his first home run of the season and Blaine McIntosh walked in all four of his plate appearances.

The 19-year-old has struck out 19 batters and walked just one in nine innings this season.
