Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels left Thursday’s series finale against the Milwaukee Brewers after being struck in the shoulder by a line drive. This news is still breaking, but Mark “The Bird” Fidrych has been pronounced dead after an accident while doing repairs on his pickup truck. The official statement reads, Mark Fidrych has died, the Worcester District Attorney’s office announced on Monday. Angels Rookie Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash

A hospital official says Los Angeles Angels rookie pitcher Nick Adenhart has died in a hit-and-run car crash after a game. University of California, Irvine Medical Center spokesman John Murray says Adenhart died Thursday morning after undergoing surgery.
