Mets Won’t Move Ruben Tejada For Houston Ace Roy Oswalt

From the files of the strange, but true… According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, the Mets will not part with “B Level” prospect Ruben Tejada, even if it meant acquiring a top of the rotation starter like Houston Astros Ace, Roy Oswalt. The Mets are so high on rookie infielder Ruben Tejada, their fill-in second baseman for the injured Luis Castillo, that they’d be reluctant to include him in a trade for a pitcher such [...]

Angels Need 1B – Can Mets Be Players?

Earlier today, after starting Angels 1B Kendry Morales went down with an injury, it was mentioned that the Angels have no solid backup plan at 1B. Can the Mets be players? The Mets currently have Daniel Murphy rehabbing at AAA, and with Brandon Wood struggling as well at 3B for the Angels, could he be a fit? Murphy could platoon between 1B and 3B and possibly be a good trading chip with a team the Mets [...]

Chris Carter Called Up, Catalanotto DFA’d

chris-carter

Earlier today, Joe D. posted a blog saying that 1B/OF Chris Carter is very close to joining the Mets.
