Matt Harvey Delivers His Most Dominating Performance Of The Season!
Mets top pitching prospect Matt Harvey was lights-out today in the Bisons 12-1 drubbing of the Iron Pigs today at Coca Cola Park in Lehigh Valley. We were there and we’ll have some great shots of Harvey in action later today, but let’s discuss his incredible outing for now. Harvey was as composed today as he’s been all season. He pitched like he belonged at this level and today we saw some of that pinpoint [...]

On The Road With Petey Pete: Hanging With The Herd At Lehigh Valley
It’s 8:00 AM in the beautiful Lehigh Valley. I just got to the ballpark after enjoying a delicious continental breakfast at the Super 8. Grounds in my coffee? Who cares? We got morning minor league baseball on tap, and the Bisons are throwing Matt Harvey today, and I’ll be sitting right behind homeplate. First pitch: 10:30 AM, I need more coffee, hold the grounds. Yesterday I was standing in the Bisons clubhouse before the game telling [...]

4/24 Farm Report: Savannah Swarms West Virginia 14-5
Lehigh Valley 4, Buffalo 3 By Joe DeCaro Buffalo rallied from three runs down to tie the game and sen it into extra-innings, but it was to no avail as the Iron Pigs touched up Bisons reliever Jack Egbert for the winning run as the Pigs walked off with a 4-3 victory in the bottom of the 11th. Oink, oink. Vinny Rottino gave the Herd hope when he belted a two-run homer in the eighth, and Omar [...]

Prospect Pulse: Familia Answers Critics
Over the last two weeks I have seen my fill of criticism about Jeurys Familia. For some reason it seems as if Mets fans and bloggers want this guy to fail. Either that, or they are just trying to make themselves look smart by pointing out his short-comings, and predicting limited success for him as a major league prospect. The negative sooth-sayers are predicting at-best that Family will have to be moved to the bullpen, [...]
