Pelfrey Looks Good But Mets Fall To Tigers, 4-2

The Mets fell to the Tigers today with a score of 4-2. Mike Pelfrey pitched two scoreless innings followed by Matt Wise, Brian Stokes, Pedro Feliciano and Jorge Sosa who kept the scoreless streak going. However, Willie Collazo gave up all 4 runs.

Ramon Castro brought Angel Pagan home on a sacrifice fly and Michael Abreu scored on a triple by Anderson Machado.

Tomorrow the Mets travel to Jupiter to play the Cardinals. John Maine is scheduled to start and Duaner Sanchez will make an appearance.

Oh no! The Mets lost a Spring Training game! It's the end of 2008! Overhaul the roster NOW Omar! Time to blow this team up and start from scratch!
Just kidding of course.I bet the guy were happy to just be out there playing competitively again...

This was a very good sign, the Mets split squad took on Detroit's full squad. A very promising game for the pitching despite Willie Callazo giving up 4 runs.

I hope to see Delgado find his swing in the spring. I wonder if the Mets have a plan B if he is on the steep hill down.

I agree with Vegas Chris! I hope they do have a plan B for Delgado. He says that he feels good and that he's coming around. It's one thing to admit you had a horrible year last year, but it's another thing to make changes and fix it. We can't afford to waste the season waiting on him to find his swing again.
