Pelfrey Looks Good But Mets Fall To Tigers, 4-2
The Mets fell to the Tigers today with a score of 4-2. Mike Pelfrey pitched two scoreless innings followed by Matt Wise, Brian Stokes, Pedro Feliciano and Jorge Sosa who kept the scoreless streak going. However, Willie Collazo gave up all 4 runs.
Ramon Castro brought Angel Pagan home on a sacrifice fly and Michael Abreu scored on a triple by Anderson Machado.
Tomorrow the Mets travel to Jupiter to play the Cardinals. John Maine is scheduled to start and Duaner Sanchez will make an appearance.

This was a very good sign, the Mets split squad took on Detroit's full squad. A very promising game for the pitching despite Willie Callazo giving up 4 runs.

I hope to see Delgado find his swing in the spring. I wonder if the Mets have a plan B if he is on the steep hill down.

I agree with Vegas Chris! I hope they do have a plan B for Delgado. He says that he feels good and that he's coming around. It's one thing to admit you had a horrible year last year, but it's another thing to make changes and fix it. We can't afford to waste the season waiting on him to find his swing again.
