I dont know thats a tough one. I think that Wille wont send Lastings Milledge down to the minors, because he told Shawn Green that Milledge would be getting most of the playing time in right field. I think that Mota or Sele will be going to the minors. Even if they send Mota or Sele they will most likely only be down for 7 days until the September 1st call-ups. I was happy to read in the newspaper that Willie Randolph said that the Mets will be calling up Joe Smith with the rosters are expanded. Hopefully Joe can pitch like he did in the beginning. He has been a useful asset for the Mets and could possibly help them in the postseason. Another question, Who will be sent down when Endy Chavez is called up?

Never mind about Endy Chaves because they sent Naderson Hernandez down. Sorry.

When Endy comes back the only position players who could be optioned are Gotay and Milledge. I doubt they would demote a pitcher since they are using 3 or 4 relievers every game. Since Endy would give them another lefty on the bench with Anderson, that makes Gotay expendable since he doesn't hit right-handed very well and he won't be playing the field with Castillo there. September 1 rosters expand anyway, so he will only be gone for 4 or 5 days.

As I am writing this I see Wagner has loaded the bases. This seems to be a growing trend for him.

Green and Mota can not be sent down without passing through waivers and then accepting the assignment. Of course for Mota that wouldn't be such a bad thing. It has to be Gotay there isn't any other logical choice.

i think mota should go down he has contributed nothing to this team this year! last year he was good but after the whole steroid thing he just lost it so either demote him or drop him! PLEASE! nd if you need an extra hand in the bullpen i would say give joe smith another chance

Send Guilleromo Mota down. He blew so many games for the Mets. Endy Chavez and Lastings Milledge are too important offensively and defensively to not have. Bring back Joe Smith from New Orleans and give him another chance!!

By the way where is Duaner Sanchez, has anyone heard from him and well being. That must have been a tough cab ride and then on top of it earn $850,000 not to pitch even one inning. 2006 he has earned 400,000 and gets a 450,000 raise to be placed on the DL. It blows my mind why Omar would do this. I guess he is one of his native boys too!!
