Breaking News: Carlos Beltran Out Indefinitely

This is not good news for Mets fans. Yesterday the discussion was whether Beltran could participate in the day night doubleheader, now Beltran has been labeled as being out indefinitely. Beltran said that he is doing basic exercises today (Riding a stationary bike etc...) Beltran said that he was hopeful of doing exercises tomorrow that his strain prevented him from doing before.

There is no time line for his return, but you can be certain that he will be put on the 15 day disabled list today. At the moment he remains day to day.

Carlos please hurry back after your stint on the DL... we need your bat in the lineup and your glove in Center Field.

I hate to sound like a broken record but this guy really needs to toughen up, especially with the money he's making and his reputation. I'm not disputing his injuries, I just wish he could learn to play through them.

Hearing comments like, "It hurts when I cough or sneeze" is not the kind of grit and toughness you expect from one of your players. I play wiffle ball with a fractured ankle and he can't play ball with an abdominal strain? Is it just me or are a lot of players in this generation of players pampered beyond belief. Toughen up and play the game already!!!
