Prospect Pipeline Travis d’Arnaud was seen yesterday at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York for follow up on his fractured toe. CESAR PUELLO, RF BOOM OR BUST? Boom or Bust is a feature on our companion site MetsMinors.Net, where we ask our minor league writers to sound off on whether or not they think a particular Mets prospect will be a boom…or a bust. John B. Puello is an electrifying power hitter with some interesting tools. Puello’s team leading seven home runs and 31 RBI’s (tied with Allan Dykstra) may not be that much of a surprise, […]
Last Night’s Quick Scores Las Vegas snuck by Fresno, 3-2. Binghamton shutout New Hampshire, 7-2. St. Lucie split their doubleheader against Charlotte, 7-3, 5-3. Savannah shut down Kannapolis, 7-1. Prospect Pipeline A day after Mets prospect Zack Wheeler rebounded with a solid performance for Las Vegas, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports that the Mets are considering a variety of factors in setting a date for Zack Wheeler’s major league debut and he could arrive on the […]
There aren’t many pitchers that pitch seven innings of scoreless baseball, and you can say that wasn’t the most dominating performance we’ve seen this year from that guy. Rafael Montero is one of those guys. Montero’s four strikeouts was his lowest total of the year thus far, but the guy completely shut down New Hampshire tonight, pitching seven scoreless innings. Montero threw 102 pitches tonight (70 for strikes), and allowed six hitters to reach base safely […]
Wilmer Flores got off to a slow start in 2013. The 21 year-old prospect found himself in the shadow of top prospects Travis d’Arnaud and Zack Wheeler when he arrived in Las Vegas. But now we find ourselves almost two months into the season, and Flores seems to be hitting his stride offensively. Flores is quietly putting up solid numbers this season, batting .292/.335/.470 with 26 extra-base hits in 202 at-bats. There have been some […]

Wilmer Flores is also heating up, as he was 2-for-5 with two doubles and three RBI. Rainy Lara made his debut for St. […]
Josh Satin is clearly the most worthy of getting a shot at first base if the team ultimately decides to demote Ike Davis. He must smell blood in the water, because he was 4-for-5 last night, with four RBI. He’s batting .316 this year with 8 home runs and 31 RBI. Satin also gets on base over 40% of the time. He has earned a promotion at this point, especially with the way Davis has been playing. […]
