Out Of Town Mets Fans Rejoice!
Are you as excited as me about opening up Citi Field? If you live out of town like I do, you feel the pain of missing Mets games and not having local access to programming or the freedom to attend a game. I live in Oklahoma and MLB considers me to be in the region for four teams, none of which I claim. There’s no way I’m rooting for the Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, Kansas [...]

How Will It Affect the Mets If the Phillies Win It All?
I may not know everything about the wonderful game of baseball just yet, but I do know that if your arch rivals knock you out of first place and go on to win it all, it can’t be a good thing. I’ve heard several theories both ways. Most of us definitely want the Phillies to choke. Yeah, I’m fully aware of the fact that they are one win away from victory and the odds of that happening [...]

Over his 15 shutout innings, Pelfrey scattered nine hits without a walk, while striking out 10. He is the first Met [...]

Oh And By The Way, Jerry Manuel Is Our New Manager
After spending my entire work day tuned to WFAN online, I’d like to take a look at the other big news of the day. We have a new leader. Jerry Manuel is now the manager of the New York Mets. And according to Omar Minaya, Manuel will be the manager for the rest of the season. So what do Mets fans know about Jerry Manuel? Probably not much, since he’s spent the last few years [...]

I Think A Change Would Do Us Good
Over the last couple of years I’ve learned so much about the game of baseball, I’m still no expert by far. But it doesn’t take an expert to see that something is majorly wrong with the 2008 Mets. With the spotlight on the team that was supposed to come back from the "worst collapse in baseball ever", they certainingly don’t seem to have the heart we remember from 2006 and the first half of 2007. I can’t tell you [...]

Mets Exhibition Game Ends in Tie
The Mets walked away from an exhibition game against the University of Michigan today with a 4-4 tie. A homerun by Michel Abreu, that was initially ruled a double, saved the Mets from an embarassing loss, to say the least. You can read an interesting article with quick hits from the game here: New York Post – Mets open with a tie

Ready or Not Spring is Coming Fast
Carlos Beltran told reporters that he may sit out the first few exhibition games next month. He is still recovering from knee surgeries in the offseason. Make no mistake, he is in Florida taking batting practice and according to witnesses he is looking really great. He is just unable to turn bases and run at full strength but has every intention of being ready on Opening Day. And he better be ready after his announcement [...]
