Opening Day is Approaching But Where Is Our Leader?
MMO Family and Friends, As you may or may not have noticed we are missing our leader. Due to unforeseen, and untimely, circumstances Joe D had to undergo surgery. I won’t go into details because he’s going to kill me for posting this as it is, but he will be there for a while. As second in command I wanted to ask everyone to keep Joe in your prayers and if you would like please [...]

In Loving Memory of Gary “The Kid” Carter
I’m at a loss for words. Made this today for you, Gary. Rest in peace Kid. This is one of the first graphics I ever made for MMO. I’ll miss you, kid. In 2010, I designed this for our MMO T-shirt Shop. I made Retire 8 Buttons too. I hope this happens. We are going to donate $2.00 from every Retire 8 T-shirt we sell to the Gary Carter Foundation.

Ike Davis is Pure CHAOS!
“Me, I’m like pure chaos and I swing as hard as I can.” “I don’t think I’ve seen a guy, pound for pound, with more pop than he’s got. If he connects, the ball will hit the Grand Canyon.” ~ Chipper Jones Davis has quickly become one of my favorite Mets. He has an intensity and drive you don’t see in some of the other players and he absolutely hates to lose. I see him [...]

He Did It! Dickey Reaches The Top Of Kilimanjaro!
We had done it! We gave hugs and high-fives all around above the clouds at the highest point in Africa. The view was unforgettably magnificent, as incredible as anything I have ever seen. But as I took time to contemplate, I realized that the reason the view was so rich was the overall experience of the trek. We had walked approximately 40 miles and climbed 13,000 feet since the beginning of the journey, overcoming all [...]

An Amazin’ Collection Of Mets Caps
Here’s a shot of my friend Bryan Thompson’s amazing collection of Mets caps! (click image to enlarge) That’s 28 caps in all, but there may have been a new addition or two during the holidays, I’ll have to ask him about that. I love that khaki green colored one in the second row and the blue cap with Mets in script behind it. Do you collect any Mets memorabilia, baseball cards, caps, jerseys or oddball [...]

My Best Mets Moments Of 2011
Yes, there were some forgettable moments in 2011, but they weren’t all bad. These were five of my favorite moments last season. Best Moment #5 The Mets beat the Phillies 2-1 in a 14 inning nail-biter at Citizens Bank Park. But the best moment of the night came in the middle of the game when the crowd began to chant ‘USA – USA” as news broke that President Obama announced that terrorist Osama Bin Laden had [...]

A Fond Farewell To No. 7
No matter what you thought of the loss of Jose Reyes to the Miami Marlins, I think we can all agree on one thing: that Reyes was the best shortstop, infielder, and position player the Mets have ever developed. No Met ever swiped more bases or had more triples. His enthusiasm, passion and love for the game was infectious and Mets fans loved him from the word go. Reyes was electric on the basepaths and [...]
