The White Sox have signed free-agent reliever J.J. Putz to a one-year, $3 million dollar contract, according to Noah Coslov from MLB.com. Earlier this afternoon, Mike Francesa of WFAN reported that the Mets have made offers to free agents Bengie Molina and Jason Bay.
