The Texas Rangers have an agreement with Mike Minor as per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The Mets were reportedly in touch with Minor. While Jon Morosi of MLB Network notes that he will be used as a starter in Texas, this limits teams who coveted him as a reliever.

Anthony DiComo of MLB.com believes the Mets will not get a starter, but will instead invest on the bullpen and infield.

It appears Shohei Ohtani has narrowed his list to seven teams. Ohtani’s seven (a spin-off to Ocean’s Eleven) are the Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, and Rangers.

Jerry Crasnick of ESPN says a Giancarlo Stanton deal is not imminent. At this point, who knows when he will get traded.

Omar Vizquel will be managing the Chicago White Sox Class-A affiliate.

According to Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com the New York Yankees will be attending Juan Pablo Martinez’s showcase and will look into recently released Atlanta Braves prospect, Yunior Severino.
