Well, the Mets are not getting Ohtani. Joel Sherman of the New York Post said they were out. Marc Carig of Newsday adds the Mets prepared a multimedia presentation but it did not convince him.

To make a long story short, most teams outside the West Coast teams are out. Bob Nightengale of USA Today says GMs around baseball believe the Mariners are the favorite for Ohtani.

Jon Morosi of MLB Network said the Marlins have agreed to general frameworks of trades with the Cardinals and the Giants.

Stanton controls the talks with his no trade clause. Jon Heyman of Fan Rag Sports says the Dodgers are his number one priority.

Craig Mish of Sirius XM added that he expects a trade for Stanton to be finalized in 2-3 days.
