Andy Martino of SNY said the Mets filled out Shohei Ohtani‘s questionnaire and will pursue the 23-year-old. Sandy Alderson has previously mentioned the Mets are interested in Ohtani and will look into him. The Mets are expected to meet with Ohtani’s representatives.

Money is not the biggest concern for Ohtani at the moment since he can only receive as much as a team has left in their international bonus pool money. He can only get as much as $3,535,000 from the Texas Rangers.
