Mets View Wily Peralta As Potential Swingman Option

Pitching will be atop the Mets list of priorities this offseason.

An early name that has come to the surface as a potential option is right-hander Wily Peralta. According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, the team views him as a potential starter and reliever.

Peralta, 28, has spent the entirety of his big league career with the Milwaukee Brewers. His best year came in 2014 where he went 17-11 with a 3.53 ERA, 4.11 FIP and 1.304 WHIP in 32 games started (198.2 innings).

This past year, he went 5-4 with a 7.85 ERA in 19 games (eight started) with a -1.4 WAR.
