DeGrom Has Gastroenteritis, Won’t Pitch Again in 2017
The New York Mets announced that right-handed starter Jacob deGrom will not pitch again in the 2017 season because of gastroenteritis. He was originally scheduled to make his final start of the year on Saturday against the Phillies. Seth Lugo, originally scheduled to start Sunday, will shift to Saturday.
