Morning Briefing: Mets Take On Phillies For Three Game Set

Today, the New York Mets will take on the Philadelphia Phillies for matinee affair on labor day. Rafael Montero will take on Mark Leiter at 1:10 p.m.

Yesterday, the remains of the Mets offense did a nice job but the Mets pitching did not hold the fort – a usual trend during 2017. Amed Rosario left with a bruised finger but the Mets hope he will be back soon. Chris Flexen struggled for the second straight start after a string of decent starts.
