Game(s) Thread: Mets vs Braves 1:05 PM, Astros vs Mets 1:10 PM

The Mets are playing two split-squad games today. Zack Wheeler will make his Grapefruit League debut on the road against the Atlanta Braves and Lucas Sims at 1:05 PM. The Mets will also host the Houston Astros at First Data Field with Matt Harvey up against Joe Musgrove at 1:10 PM. Neither game will have TV coverage nor have radio coverage from WOR.

Wheeler will be on the mound in a game for the first time since he made an unsuccessful rehab attempt last year with the St. Lucie Mets on August 6. He would throw only 17 pitches in one inning and was later shutdown for the 2016 season with a flexor muscle strain.

The 26-year old Wheeler will have an innings limit in the low 100’s this year and could start the season in Extended Spring Training.

Harvey looks to bounce back from a first start in which he allowed four runs in just 1.2 innings of work and his fastball topped out at 93 MPH.
