Mets Minors Recap: Rosario Paces B-Mets Offense in Victory

The 51s scored four runs in the 7th and three more in the 8th but the comeback fell short as they went down 1-2-3 in the 9th inning.

It’s the first earned run that Smoker has allowed since July 8th.

Montero was taken out after being hit with a come-backer in the third. He did bat in the bottom of the third but was taken out in the top of 4th, probably as a precaution. Paez allowed his first run in AA.

Guillorme with a nice game. Thompson has nine extra base hits in 32 games at St. Lucie.

Reyes has allowed three runs and has struck out 19 in his last 18.1 innings pitched.

Garcia isn’t getting on base much, but is hitting for power, with 12 extra base hits in 33 games.

Word from the stadium was that Church felt ill and was pulled for that reason. Blank is an undersized reliever who can throw up to 95.

2016 10th rounder, Cone, has been underwhelming for Brooklyn this year. Lindsay has gone 6 for his last 14, including a home run and 3 walks. Brooklyn had a suicide-squeeze walk off to end the game.

Gonzalez was pulled after two innings, possibly for throwing a high amount of pitches in the second inning. Zanghi is a flamethrower that has been dominating the New York-Penn League.
