Minor League Notes

  • Noah Syndergaard threw five innings, giving up just two runs on three hits, walked three and struck out eight. He lost the game and now is 8-7, 4.27 ERA.
  • Matt Reynolds had half of the 51s hits with two singles in four at bats.
  • Steven Matz dropped his fourth game for the B-Mets, but a game where he tossed seven innings, allowing just one run on six hits, walking two and striking out four, he surely deserved a better fate.
  •  Juan Centeno singled to extend his hitting streak to four games.
  • Jacob Lugo tossed seven innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, with three walks and four strikeouts and dropped his season record to 7-2. Two of the hits he gave up were home runs.

  • Akeel Morris tossed one scoreless inning, allowing a hit and striking out one for his 15th save and lowered his decreasing ERA to 0.67. He has not given up a run in 14 appearances.
  • Dominic Smith doubled in four at bats and is hitting just .216 in his last ten games.
