After a gut-wrenching loss to the Braves to open the series in Atlanta on Monday, the Mets will try to regroup tonight at Turner Field at 7:10 PM. Daisuke Matsuzaka (3-2, 3.23) gets the assignment for the Mets and opposes left-hander Mike Minor (2-5, 4.50) for the Braves.

Dice-K has a 2.61 ERA since September 8 of last season. That is the 15th-lowest mark in the majors over that span. Dating back to 2013, Matsuzaka has allowed two or fewer earned runs in eight of his last 10 starts. He is holding opponents to a .180 batting average this season, the second-lowest mark in the majors among qualifiers.

Curtis Granderson finished seventh in the NL with a .411 on-base percentage in June and was tied for third in the majors with 19 walks. Granderson is hitting .275 (52-189) with 29 runs scored, 10 home runs, 29 RBI with a .391 on-base percentage since May 1.

Ruben Tejada has hit in a season-high nine straight games, going 12-34 (.353) with a .436 on-base percentage. With a hit tonight it would be his fourth career double-digit hitting streak and first since September 17-28, 2012. Tejada is hitting .303 (30-99) since May 25, a span of 29 games. His 33 walks are tied for the fourth-most by a shortstop.

New York has gone 8-42 (.190) with runners in scoring position over its last five games. The Mets are hitting .228 (165-723) with RISP, ranking 24th in the majors.
