MLB released their latest All-Star balloting results on Monday night, and David Wright leapfrogged the Colorado Rockies’ Nolan Arenado for the National League lead at third base.
If the Mets Captain receives the most votes, it will be the sixth time in his career that he has started in the game and eighth all-star appearance overall.
Wright is currently batting .279/.334/.378, with 14 doubles, four home runs and 32 RBI’s in 262 at bats.
As of Monday’s latest tally, he leads by 92,718 votes,
