According to Adam Rubin, a CT scan revealed that Eric Young Jr. suffered a bruise to the right cheekbone after a freak accident during batting practice.

Lucas Duda was hitting in an indoor batting cage at Coors Field when a baseball hit the screen and ricocheted, striking Young below the right eye.

Juan Lagares, who was originally not in the starting lineup, replaced Young and batted leadoff.

No word yet on how much time Young will miss if any. Check back after the game..
