New York Mets third baseman and captain David Wright is one of eight finalists for the MLB Network’s annual Face of MLB contest.
The promotion is to determine a player who best represents the sport on and off the field.
Wright, who was named team captain last year, has always been one of the best ambassadors of the sport, not only with his talent on the field, but his generosity off the field in donating his time and efforts to numerous charitable events, plus his longtime, easy-going interactive nature with the club’s fans.
If you have a Twitter account, the Mets and Metsmerized Online are asking you to support David by tweeting the following hash tags #DavidWright and #FaceOfMLB.
Every Tweet and RT counts as a vote and you can vote up to 25 times for each Twitter handle you may have.
Wright needs your support and how amazing would it be to reward him with this honor after all that he has provided us with during his proud and distinguished service to the Mets.
Lets get this done and do the Wright thing. Today is the last day to vote. Please take five minutes to help one of the greatest players ever to don a Mets uniform.
Thank you and Lets Go Mets!
