Justin Turner is heading to Los Angeles according to Tim Dierkes of MLB Trade Rumors. The Dodgers agreed to sign the former Met infielder to a minor league deal with a Spring Training invite.

Turner, 28, batted .280/.319/.385 in 200 at-bats with two home runs, 20 runs scored and 16 RBI over 86 games for the Mets in 2013.

He was unceremoniously released by the Mets because “his¬†propensity for not running hard irked the front office, which had finally seen enough.”

Turner, was arbitration-eligible and was due to make less than $1 million in 2014.

Farewell, our one time pie thrower.
