Burkhardt Joining NFL on Fox

According to SI.com, SNY’s Kevin Burkhardt will be adding to his already impressive resume.

Beginning with the pre-season, Burkhardt will join former NFL Safety John Lynch in the booth to call games for the NFL on Fox.

As many of you may know, Burkhardt has been calling games for the Dallas Cowboys radio network alongside Danny White since 2011 and has always had a passion for calling NFL games on TV.

Now that dream becomes a reality on August 8th when he joins Lynch in calling the pre-season game between the 49ers and Broncos.

Burkhardt will have a chance to immediately compete for one of Fox’s top 5 broadcast pairings if he performs well. Currently, Joe Buck/Troy Aikman, Thom Brennaman/Brian Billick, and Kenny Albert/Daryl Johnson are locked in as the network’s top 3 pairings.

Burkhardt remains under contract with SNY through the 2014 season.

Best of luck to Kevin!
