He’ll get better, just not enough to make him anywhere near as good as MB.

His defense is great but unless the other two outfielders are all stars you can’t MDD becomes a liability offensively.

I still hope that at some point a package of Murph, Duda (as a toss in) and some MiL pitchers can be tossed ChiSox way for one of their outfielder. Murph could play 3B/2B for them and they need LH bats. I’d take either of De Aza or Viciedo. Maybe they even widen the deal for Beckham? They also have some nice 2B/SS options in their minors as well.

He is hitting .261 , Recker is hitting .533 and Buck is somewhere in the .300′s

Sure he won’t start the season with the MLB team due to his clock (not his readiness)

SO I guess they are willing to take the risk of injury in order to get him in SYNC with the starters he is likely to be catching once he DOES come up and thats why he is still hanging around.

He can’t do that on the MiL field he can only do that playing with the guys he will eventually catch.

if he doesn’t make the team (Duda) I suspect they give him time in Vegas to play LF every day to see if he can get straightened out.

He may not get as many steals, but he’ll hit for more pop, and I wouldn’t doubt seeing Den Dekker grind out 30 doubles 10 triples 15 homers with a .280 avg. a year easy in spacious Citi field. I’ll take that from a Gold Glove candidate.
