Exactly Mr. NJ. I think sometimes these players stay on the DL way too long. Once the season starts they are never going to 100% so why not got out there at 90% and try to contribute? The longer Murph sist the worse it will be for him.

Maybe someone needs to tell Murphy if he ever heard of Wally Pip. Not that I am suggesting Spin is anywhere near the caliber of a Gehrig but If Spin gets off to a good start Murphy could be risking finding himself Pip’d.

More likely, it means that Q will get a chance to play 2B every day, while Terry keeps Spin firmly planted on the bench. Just not too close to him.

Joe, I was thinking the same thing this morning, I doubt Murph will be ready for the home opener. It’s a problem now with Turner twisting his ankle on Saturday. According to the SNY guys Valdespin is a pretty good infielder. Murph better be careful he doesn’t get Wally Pipped out of a job…

Hey, don’t worry guys, this is the same pattern of injury that occured in 2009, the difference is, it’s 2013 and instead of minaya, sandy alderson is the GM, so if someone goes down, since we have a plan, he’ll have a replacement for that guy don’t you worry guys. remember he’s growing the mets right from the vine…..

Imagine that “El Stiffo” is complaining about stiffness. This is so unusal for Murphy. He never misses any games. He is the greatest Met since Strawberry. Valdespin is better in every way than Murphy. Heck…Joey D is on board!!!
