Gee Rocked In A Wild 9-1 Loss To Tigers

The Detroit Tigers defeated the New York Mets this afternoon by the score of 9-1 at Tradition Field. Most of the damage came against starting pitcher Dillon Gee who was absolutely awful and completely out of sync.
Gee had no control as evidenced by his four walks, two hit batters and three wild pitches in just two innings of work.
He was charged with six earned runs and didn’t beat around the bush after the game when he was asked if any particular pitch was giving him trouble. “All of them [gave me trouble], terrible.”
The finally tally on balls and strikes told the story; 53 pitches and only 24 strikes.
According to Adam Rubin, Gee said he did not care to throw additional pitches in the bullpen after the outing. He instead just wanted to turn the page on a lousy day.
I agree, turn the page…

Looks like Edgin didn’t fare well today also.
Not only yesterday, but he has allowed 7 earned runs, 13 hits in 7 2/3 innings. I know he is on the 40 man roster, but if he doesn’t pick it up he may be starting the season in AAA.
IF THE STRIKEZONE HAD BEE THE OPEN MOUTH OF THE LINCOLN TUNNEL GEE’S PITCHES WOULD NEVER HAVE BEGUM THEIR SUTERRAINIAN TRIP.
ONE CAN ONLY HOPE IT IS SOMEKIND OF POSTSURGICAL STRANGE CASE OF DEADARM.
I saw this game too.
Gee looked like the Wild Thing in his 2 innings of work.
He said afterwards when asked about his outing: ‘Your guess is as good as mine. I have no idea. I couldn’t get any pitch to go anywhere I wanted it to’.
Said him and Warthen will look at the tapes and figure out what went wrong by his next start.
Here’s hoping. I’m leaning towards just a bad day…it happens. At least he didn’t say anything like: ‘My elbow was a little stiff.’ or ‘my shoulder where I had surgery was bothering me.’
