Problem with waiting is at some point your forced to overpay for whats left because thats all there is and you need to fill a hole….

We needed at MINIMUM Two OFers this year…..(Some would suggest we needed more)

We have yet to really get one that is worth a MLB contract….

I could understand going and getting one and then waiting to fill the last hole with whatever is left to a short contract that you would then fill better next year…

But we have yet to fill ANY of the OF or BP holes….
And now we will pay MLB prices for guys who are no better than AAAA Talent…

So really waiting doesn’t prevent you overpaying it practically ENSURES it….
As it stands both those guys who got signed to MiL contract will get paid MLB prices because they are the only guys who can fill the holes we have….

And while overpaying for AAAA talent may not seem like a lot of money wasted add it up and it comes to the same price of paying ONE guy you KNOW fills the hole without the risk of not getting any preformance because he was a AAAA player….

Same money wasted on the one as the 4 but the 4 also wastes 4 roster spots that hurts your depth on the MLB squad!

but I also don’t see Morse as a guy they would look to extend for a few years, even if he is interested in that.
