The Miami New Times issued some new documents today:

“However, none of the ingredients listed in Aminorip is on MLB’s list of prohibited substances. On Wednesday, the Miami New Times released a new document that listed Gonzalez’s name next to a list of ingredients for “pink cream,” a synthetic testosterone. Testosterone is on MLB’s list of prohibited substances.”

Then, there is this instagram pic of him and Jimmy Goins from just weeks ago. Goins is heavily mentioned in the Miami clinic’s records. Goins is also described by Gio as “my offseason strength coach”

There certainly is a lot of smoke starting to accumulate around Gio.

The incident with Arroyo is one of the most stupid and juvenile things I’ve ever seen a player do on a field.

Look at how many times someone says Player X isn’t worth XXXMillion of dollars yet thats what they get!

A guy who would make 3-5 Mil is now making 8-13 Mil…..

Yes the players did it for greed never thinking for a second that all thier legacies would be stained at the time….

Now they are finding out what the MONEY actually cost them!

They were wrong for cheating…But in the end WE were wrong for enjoying and willing to pay for what we KNEW was pretty much impossible to do without cheating…

I do remember both plays you are talking about – MLB shows both those clips once in a while.

You ever read those stories from time to time about parents and/or coaches at little league games getting way out of hand?

Wow. In the latter, the individual has total control over what he puts into this body. In the former, the individual player has zero control over the other 24 players on the team. Are you really going to blame the players like Wright or Ike or Dickey who — for the most part — did their jobs but then suffered when the sucky bullpen failed time after time in doing theirs? *SMH*

A team is the sum of 24 parts. An individual doing steroids has total control over his entire body.

He has done, on air, the two weirdest, dirtiest, immature, childish, bush-league things I have ever witnessed on a MLB field.

1-He attempted to swat the ball/glove out of the hand of the fielder when running to first base so he wouldnt get tagged, and then played it off like he didnt do it.(I think it was vs the Mets).

2- He yelled out, “I got it” , when coming around 3rd base en route to home plate from second base. The 3rd baseman dropped the ball….I believe it was Seattle.
What grown-up/adult does something like that?
He has some sort of “cheat at all costs” mentality that isnt normal.

Lets see who cheats then………nobody will take that chance.

So in a story about performance enhancing drugs where many have laid blame on ownership, Selig, Player’s Union, players – Metro12 opts to blame the players only.

But when it comes down to fierce competition in games with post season/world series ramifications. When the rosters are set and both competitors on opposite sides of the field have gotten this far – Metro12 blames the executives.

A typical two-faced sandy supporter who speaks out of both sides of his ASS depending if the situation makes the current administration look bad or good. He adapts his comments that aren’t with a shit to the situation and adjusts them accordingly

Let’s say for the sake of argument that the teams were also responsible. Well then it’s a matter of feasibility here to expect them to know which players juice and which don’t. It’s just not reasonable to expect them to have a system in place to be able to determine that. That is what MLB’s centralized drug testing and investigation system is for.

The team already takes risks as it is. They lose the player’s services and may not have a way to replace them during the season. The player is totally at fault, so it’s really unfair to penalize the team AND his teammates too.

I think the answer, if any, is to increase the penalties on the athlete who cheats.

As to the Giants not having a clue about Melky before he came? Seriously? Come on now. You think that someone in the organization didn’t doubt his “resurgence” in KC?

There is no way the Sabean could have reasonably known about Melky before signing him last year. Taking that roster spot away when he got suspended could have cost them the title last season.

And to say there is no risk to the team is not true. Let’s say the Blue Jays lose Melky in April and there were a 1-year ban for second time offenders. Well then they have no reasonable way to replace his production at that point in the season. Losing a player for the entire year who the team planned to get significant contributions from and having no good way to replace him is penalty enough.

And look at the risk the Yankees took with A-Rod! Sure, they won a WS with him, but now it’s going to be hellish for the next five years. The Yankees will be paying for that move for the next five years!

What seriously was Melky’s punishment? An early vacation and 16M? If you increase that to 81 games? 100 games? Is that going to keep the acquiring team from signing him? There’s almost no risk for the team.
