Mike belongs in the HOF and, yes, he is far more than deserving of the Mets Hall and should be inducted!!!

I not that quick to retire a number (I think you have to make the real hall for that honor)

Piazza deserves to be honored by the Mets and his number deserves to be retired. None of the 80s Mets players should get their numbers retired. Those 80s Mets won a World Series but then turned the team into a joke because of their drug use. Piazza was a great player who returned respect to the team.

Love Piazza and I think he got a raw deal, but if we retire anyone’s number first shouldn’t it be Keith Hernandez who actually led the Mets to a World Series?

Still cant believe he was snubbed. Hell yeah put him in our Hall of Fame and I like the All Star idea. I would wait until he’s in the actual HOF before retiring his number though.

Totally agree with all the opinions stated here JoeD.

Piazza was snubbed unjustly by BBWWA who wanted to send a msg to Bond/Clemens, etc and just decided to indict, prosecute, and convict Mike, along with Bagwell and Biggio, just to send a msg that they are the keepers of the flame.

What a joke this current group is, getting into the HOF should be hard to get into, not like the other sports HOF who induct just about anybody who could dribble, jump and shoot and also throw a football and run with it.

Totally agree that he should be inducted during ASG AND named captain so that the whole audience will see and the shills over at the BBWAA will be put on notice, not that they care!
